A park between Europe and the Mediterranean, the ecological and cultural homogeneity existing between the protected area of the Tuscan-Emilian National Park and the remaining territory of the High Reggio Emilia Apennines, a complex mosaic of “Man and Biosphere” recognized in 2015 by UNESCO.

“This is a place of rebalancing between man, nature, and landscape; of renewed territorial pride, of modern economic vocations, and of an ancient and precious sense of community. A protected natural area, but also a territorial and human project… The most attentive visitors, from the summit of Mount Giogo or from the Pradarena Pass, or from the hundred panoramic balconies overlooking roads and trails, can realize that the boundaries of the Park, those perceived with the eyes and those breathed by lingering, are vaster and richer in inspiration than those read on the maps.”

Senator Fausto Giovanelli, President of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park
